Main Street
Stockton, Ca. 95202
Attn: Jeffrey Wong, REHS
Ref: Inspection report dated 1-19-2010
Dear Mr. Wong;
We have reviewed your inspection report with photos and have made the necessary corrections. The
following is an item-by-item response explaining exactly what we have done to remedy the conditions that
required attention. Also attached you will find pictures referencing these corrections, and our completed
return to compliance form.
Section 1: Class II Violation #15—Spill control equipment not provided
We have implemented a new labeled portable stainless steel spill control container with a supply of
absorbent material per your recommendation that we can deploy to control spills as necessary (photo#1
attached). Per your instruction, it will be our intention to use the absorbent material on spills until the
absorbent material's capacity is exhausted, then dispose of it as HW in a 55 gallon HW drum as we
currently manage our existing inventory of HW material.
Jeff, please note that during our last inspection we were left with the impression that having several
commercial grade mop bucket and wringer kits that we could deploy would satisfy the requirement for spill
control equipment. Accordingly, we have had at least 3 of them on site ever since (photo#2 attached),
and have used them when necessary.
We have no issue with modifying our procedure to accommodate any recommendation you make, but we
did not want to leave the impression that your recommendation to employ a spill containment container
with solid absorbent material was a standing requirement that we had ignored.
Section 2: Minor—Notice to Comply
#10
The 5 gallon bucket of oily liquid with solids has been cleaned with all contents placed in a HW
drum for disposal.
The two 5 gallon buckets with oily liquid have been cleaned with all contents placed in a HW
drum for disposal.
The contents of the beige color caustic tank has been removed and placed in a HW drum for
disposal.
