The residual solids in the evaporation tank have been removed and placed in HW drums for
disposal.
The material in the secondary containment plastic garbage can has been removed and placed in
a HW drum for disposal.
The residual solids that were on and around the buckets and drums inside the storage van have
been removed and placed in a HW drum for disposal.
The oil with trash inside the two 30 gallon blue drums located in the tire changing area has been
cleaned.
The soot material in the 30 gallon drum has been properly labeled and classified by our waste
hauler. This material is scheduled for recycling within the month.
The oil in the drain pan next to the parts washer has been cleaned, and placed in the oil recycling
container.
Particles in and around the bead and shot blasters and table grinder have been removed and
placed in a HW drum for disposal.
Regarding the disposition of all materials referenced above. As applicable, liquids identified
exclusively as oil have been placed in the oil recycling container. Any mixed fluids or solids that
could not be segregated have been disposed of in a HW drum for disposal in accordance with
Title 22, as we have done in the past. Note: Per our phone conv. Of last week, we acknowledge
your correction to read "particles greater than 100 micron in size".
#12
The buckets have been removed, cleaned, and the contents disposed as HW. We have
excavated the thin layer of soil (1-2 inch deep) down to the underlying foundation and disposed of
the soil as HW. We are also going to pour a concrete cover over this"seam" to prevent any future
possibility of spills from migrating below the visible surface. We have also advised our staff that
no containers are to be placed in this area. Note: this was an obvious error made by one of our
employees, and hopefully is not viewed as SOP. We have performed extensive review of our
practices with this employee so that this error will not be committed in the future.
#33
The drums have been outfitted with the appropriate lid clamps, and properly labeled. These
drums have been dispatched for recycling via our oil filter recycling service and are no longer on
site.
Replacement drums with appropriate labels are now on site, complete with lids and lid band
clamps.
#89
The 2 each empty 55 gallon HW drums by the storage trailer are for use when it becomes
necessary to service our caustic cleaning tank. Service interval is not regular as it varies with
usage. We have affixed dated labels to the drums and will adhere to the HW drum management
protocol you have advised.
The 5 each 5-6 gallon drums have been cut up and recycled as scrap iron.
