Proposed Cineplex Site <br /> Bound by East Miner Avenue, North Hunter Street, <br /> East Weber Avenue and North E1 Dorado Street <br /> Stockton, California <br /> Subsurface Soil and Groundwater Sampling Report <br /> Prepared For: Civic Partners <br /> 1.0 PROJECT IDENTIFICATION <br /> The following site investigation was conducted to help determine if contaminants, <br /> associated with the past activities at the above property, are present in the soil and <br /> groundwater. A recent Phase I Environmental Assessment of the subject site disclosed <br /> historical underground tank locations and automotive maintenance uses. Laundries that <br /> may have been involved dry cleaning solvents were also located on the property (Figure <br /> 3). <br /> In order to extend our level of due diligence, soil and groundwater sampling in various <br /> locations has been conducted. A Geoprobe"', direct push technology, was used to obtain <br /> soil and water samples in the areas described below. <br /> 1.1 Site Description and History <br /> Eight buildings that are utilized primarily for administrative and commercial <br /> purposes currently occupy the subject site. A small print shop (Quality Print Shop), <br /> and a glass installation and retail sales facility (Glass Pro) are also located on-site. <br /> Two of the buildings, the former American Savings Bank building at 222 North El <br /> Dorado Street, and the Stockton Hotel, are currently vacant. A small barbershop is <br /> located along East Weber Avenue. Operations observed at 145 North Hunter Street <br /> include a small market, Quality Print Shop, former office suites, and residential <br /> apartments. This property is not included in the project. <br /> Electricity is provided to the subject site by Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E). <br /> Potable water is provided by the California Water Service, which obtains its water <br /> from the Hogan Reservoir located northeast of Stockton, and from the Melones <br /> Reservoir located southeast of Stockton. The City of Stockton Sewer Service <br /> provides sanitary sewer service. <br /> Building 1 <br /> 110 East Miner Avenue <br /> This two-story unit is currently occupied by Cudney Auto Supply, which operates <br /> an automobile accessory sales business. The second floor is mostly unused, with <br /> some rooms utilized for storage purposes. This unit is located within a building also <br /> occupied by 234, 242, and 248 North El Dorado Street. No basement is located <br />
