Analytical Results of Soil Samples Collected from Excavation Sidewalls and Floors The following analytes were reported in the soil samples collected on 06 and 07 December 2007 and O1 February 2008: • Ethylbenzene was reported in sidewall soil sample NEWS3 at a concentration 0.016 mg/kg. • Total xylenes were reported in sidewall and floor soil samples NEWS2 and NEWS3 at concentrations of 0.010 mg/kg and 0.102 mg/kg, respectively. • Utilizing hydrochloric acid for extraction,chromium was reported in sidewall and floor soil samples NEB1 through NEB4, NENS, NESS, NEWS1 through NEWS3, and NEES1 through NEES 3 at concentrations ranging from 33 mg/kg (NEES3) TO 110 mg/kg (BNEWSN). • Utilizing hydrochloric acid for extraction, lead was reported in sidewall and floor soil samples NEB2,NEB 4,NENS,NESS,NEWS 1 through NEWS3,NEES 1 through NEES3, SES1 through SES3, BNEWSN and BNEWSS at concentrations ranging from 3.5 mg/kg (NEB2)to 690 mg/kg (NEWS I). • Utilizing hydrochloric acid for extraction, nickel was reported in sidewall and floor soils samples NEB 1 through NEB4,NENS,NESS,NEWS 1 through NEWS3,SEB,SES 1 through SES3, BNEWSN and BNEWSS at concentrations ranging from 23 mg/kg (NEES3) to 57 mg/kg (BNEWSN). • Utilizing hydrochloric acid for extraction, zinc was reported in sidewall and floor soil samples NEB 1 through NEB4,NENS,NESS,NEWS 1 through NEWS3,SEB,SES 1 through SES3, BNEWSN and BNEWSS at concentrations ranging from 35 mg/kg (SEB) to 260 mg/kg (NEWS2).
