Concrete etching was also noted in this area. Facilities shall be maintained and operated to <br /> minimize the possibility of a fire, explosion, or release of hazardous waste to air, soil, or surface water which could <br /> threaten human health or the environment. Immediately fix all leaks, and manage all generated wastes according to <br /> Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how this waste <br /> was managed. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 303 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to maintain all communication or alarm systems, spill control, or decontamination <br /> equipment. <br /> 1)White residue and evidence of corrosion were noted around the rim of one forklift battery located in the outdoor <br /> forklift charging area. No dedicated battery spill kit was located in the battery charging area. <br /> 2) Dark oily liquid was noted inside the secondary containment for the onsite waste oil tank and inside the spill pallet <br /> for various oil storage containers located inside the hazardous waste storage area. <br /> All facility communications or alarm systems, fire protection equipment, spill control equipment, and decontamination <br /> equipment, where required, shall be tested and maintained as necessary to assure its proper operation in time of <br /> emergency.
