i _Equipment Inspection and/Maintenance mss' r The proper maintenance of equipment is essential for both safety and production. the following is a summary of our Equipment Inspection and Maintenance Program: • Owned equipment is under a PM program and is inspected regularly, deficiencies corrected. Rental equipment vendors are instructed to inspect equipment prior to transportation to the job site. Rental equipment is again inspected when it arrives on the project. Inspections are documented. • Back-up alarms, roll over protection, seat belts and brakes will be inspected at start up by the operator. Deficiencies will be corrected before the machine is put in use. • All operators shall be qualified to operate the machines on which they are assigned. Hazardous Materials All hazardous materials brought onto the project site for use on the project will be accompanied by a Materials Safety Data Sheet, (MSDS). Employees will be notified as to where the MSDS'S can be found and taught to read them. Subcontractor Compliance Subcontractors and material suppliers shall comply with all applicable j provisions in this plan, the work plan, the site safety plan, the IIPP and all OSHA regulations. Where conflict between standards and codes arise, the most stringent rule shall apply. Enforcement shall be through the following methods: I • A legally signed contract or purchase order with the appropriate verbiage binding the aforementioned to utilize the proper safety standards. • An orientation before the beginning of their work or material delivery, and a total jobsite walk-thru making them aware of what other potentially hazardous construction work is going on around them. • Inspections conducted by the project manager and superintendent, to ensure that the procedures and methods outlined in this plan and the IIPP are followed.
