Channel, Stockton Program: HW <br /> SUMMARY LATION <br /> CLASS I, CLASS II, o MINOR-Nonce to Com I <br /> NOTES (The following are not violations) <br /> The facility generated 6.6675 tons of hazardous waste in 2011. <br /> The business straddles both sides of Channel Street in two separate buildings with addresses of 1627 <br /> Channel and this facility at 1634 Channel. Most of the waste oil and waste anti-freeze are generated <br /> and stored at this facility. Based on interview with Ray (the owner) and on site observation, the facility is <br /> able to transport used oil and anti-freeze waste generated at the 1627 facility from across the street to <br /> this facility perpendicularly without traversing along the length of Channel Street. <br /> Discussed with Ray that scrap metal cannot be recycled without first determining hazardous properties <br /> and the particle size. Metal waste that has been determined to be hazardous and the particles are 100 <br /> microns or smaller, cannot be recycled and must be handled as hazardous waste in accordance to Title <br /> 22. <br /> Discussed with Ray Universal Waste management requirements including aerosol cans, lamps, alkaline <br /> batteries, mercury containing switches, CRT, electronic devices, etc. in a closed container with a method <br /> to identify the content and the start date of accumulation. Universal Wastes must be managed within 1 <br /> year of accumulation, and the disposal records maintained on site for at least 3 years. <br /> A copy of Auto Repair Best Mangement Practice, Managing Universal Waste labeling factsheet, SB1158 <br /> Aerosol Cans as "Universal Waste" factsheet, and San Joaquin County Small Business Hazardous <br /> Waste Disposal Program pamphlet, have been provided to Ray during this inspection. <br /> Submit the following to EHD by: 05/08/2012 <br /> 1) A completed copy of the (provided) Return to Compliance Certification (please keep original for <br /> your records). <br /> 2) A written statement how each violation was corrected <br /> 3) Evidence (i.e. photos, disposal receipts, documents) in support of the corrections made. <br /> ALL EHD STAFF TIME ASSOCIATED WITH FAILING TO COMPLY BY THE ABOVE NOTED DATES WILL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE. <br /> THIS FACILITY IS SUBJECT TO REINSPECTION AT ANY TIME AT EHD'S CURRENT HOURLY RATE. <br /> EHD Inspector: Received By: � Title: <br /> Jeffrey Wong (209) 468-0335 �` 1 <br /> EHD 23-02-003 Rev 07/12/11 CONTINUATION FORM <br />
