TREATMENT OF FACILITY DRAINAGE [40 CFR §112.12(6)(5)]:
These requirements are not applicable because this facility does not employ a wastewater
treatment system for treating facility drainage.
13.0 BULK STORAGE CONTAINERS [40 CFR §112.8(C)]
13.1. STORAGE CONTAINER COMPATIBILITY [40 CFR §112.8(0)(1)]:
AST containers used for storage of oil at this facility are constructed of materials compatible with
the products stored and conditions of storage such as pressure and temperature.
13.2. STORAGE CONTAINER SECONDARY CONTAINMENT [40 CFR
§112.8(0)(2)]:
See Section 2.4.1.
13.3. DRAINAGE OF STORM WATER FROM SECONDARY CONTAINMENT
[40 CFR§112.8(0)(3)]:
One of the objectives of the regulation is to ensure oil is not released with accumulated
precipitation in containment systems that are exposed to stormwater. Drainage of uncontaminated
storm water from a secondary containment into a storm drain or into an open watercourse, lake,
or pond is not allowed unless:
• The bypass valve is normally sealed closed;
• The retained storm water is inspected to ensure that a sheen or discoloration is not
present;
• The bypass valve is opened, then resealed following draining under responsible
supervision or the contents pumped out or removed with a vacuum truck; and
• The details of each drainage event are recorded in Appendix 15.
13.4. CORROSION PROTECTION
13.4.1. CORROSION PROTECTION OF COMPLETELY BURIED METALLIC
CONTAINERS [40 CFR§112.8(c)(4)]:
Not applicable since there are no completely buried metallic storage containers at the facility.
5 When applicable
ATc
Page 19
