3.2 Offsite Personnel <br /> The Facility will require offsite personnel to collect and deliver <br /> the biomass and the used lubricant waste products. Areas of <br /> employment will include chipping operations in the .field and at <br /> other sites where raw woody products are available and trucking <br /> operations for both biomass and used oil pickup. It is estimated <br /> this will provide jobs for 15 to 25 people, part of which is <br /> anticipated to be in the private sector, not in the employment of <br /> the plant owner. <br /> 3.3 Construction <br /> The majority of construction workers will be drawn from San <br /> Joaquin County. A minor number of specialized supervisory <br /> personnel will come from other areas. During the period of <br /> construction, approximately ten (10) months, the average number of <br /> craft workers is estimated at 30. This number includes <br /> subcontract personnel . <br /> Major construction work will fall into the following categories: <br /> Grading <br /> Civil, including paving, foundations, and concrete work <br /> Fencing and Security <br /> Electrical <br /> Mechanical, including plumbing and structural <br /> Tankage <br /> Buildings <br /> Painting <br /> Major phasing of the project is depicted in Figure 3.1. <br /> 18 <br />
