AGE has been in contact with the unit manufacturer (King-Buck Technology). Verbal recommendations and suggestions from the manufacture have been implemented and, thus far, unsuccessful. • Based upon our conversations with the previous operator of the SVE unit, it does not appear that a refurbishing was performed prior to delivery at the Chapin site. • A cost breakdown for additional verbal technical advice and field services provided by King- Buck was sent to your office. • AGE has contacted the Underground Storage Tank Cleanup Fund (USTCF) to notify Mr. Mel Jacobo of the present status and lack of performance of the SVE unit. Based upon our conversation, the USTCF has agreed to have the unit inspected by King-Buck and, if possible, proceed with a limited amount of repairs. AGE requested a cost pre-approval for the inspection and repair. • .The estimated cost to be incurred for the field inspection is $1,500. This services includes a field inspection of the SVE unit. Repairs will likely be required, based on the poor operation of the unit.
