27 February 2009
AGE-NC Project No. 95-0103
Additional costs for monitoring and remediation beyond the$82,000,have not been submitted to the
SWRCB and cannot be properly submitted until the SWRCB without the pending reimbursement
being finalized. The accrued costs for the remediation and quarterly ground water monitoring have
caused a great financial hardship on Mr. Chapin.Furthermore, based on the current conditions at the
state, it is unlikely that Mr. Chapin will receive any type of reimbursement from the UST Cleanup
Fund before late 2009.
Mr.Chapin does not have the financial capabilities to continue active remediation and likely limited
quarterly ground water monitoring activities at the site until Mr. Chapin can receive reimbursement
from the UST Cleanup Fund(i.e. $82,000-100,000). Therefore,AGE is requesting a suspension of
active ground water remediation and reduction quarterly ground water monitoring activities at the
site until the most recent reimbursement request is received by Mr.Chapin, effective 01 March 2009.
Your cooperation in this matter would be greatly appreciated and is vital to the continued success
of this ground water cleanup effort.
If you have any questions or comments, please contact our office at (209) 467-1006.
Sincerely,
SSIONAL cG3 0"
Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc.
