Diablo) owned by Chapin Bros Inc. Claim# B 557.
For the sake of brevity we have prepared this summary. For the sake of clarity we are
providing a complete history of the site (13 page), as it would appear the Geo-Tracker
records are not complete.
Abbreviated background history of site.
Chapin brothers sub-leased this site from the Shell Oil Company as a service station
and auto repair in early 1941 and purchased the property in 1980. Early in the 1990 we volunteered this information to Environmental
Health Department (EVH) of a health risk exposure.
DESCRIPTION OF SCOPE OF WORK AND TEAM EFFORT
The State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) Underground storage tank fund
(UST) provided funding, with Chapin Brothers paying for the tank removal and
investigative work. Oversight was shared with local Environmental Health Department
San Joaquin (EVH) and State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB).
DEFINE THE TASK
To achieve Closure of this site (early1990s-2008) it involved us using the five (5)
engineering firms costing in excess of approximate $855,400.
