Remedial options should be evaluated.
In order to move towards closure, PHS/EHD recommends the
following schedule.
1. Secure the services of A registered professional to
continue site mitigation by May 27, 1992.
2. Schedule monitoring of the existing two monitoring
wells on site to evaluate their use by June 17, 1992.
Please be informed that site inspections are an
important aspect of local regulatory oversight.
PHS/EHD requires 48 hours notice prior to any site
activity including sampling. 1
3 . Prepare a work plan which will describe field
activities necessary to define the volume of residual
contamination and will include the installation of an
additional monitoring well within 10 feet of the former
tank pit in a downgradient direction. Submit this work
plan to PHS/EHD by July 31, 2992 .
If you have any questions, you wish to schedule a site
inspection, or you disagree with due dates, please contact Mary
Meays, RENS, of my staff at (209) 468--0337.
1
I
i
Jogi KharIVA, M.D. , M.P.H.
Health j,6er
6
Laurie A.
