1.0 INTRODUCTION/HISTORY <br /> This report is being submitted in response to a request by the San Joaquin County, Public Health <br /> Services, Environmental Health Division (SJCPHS) for an investigation of potential soil and/or <br /> groundwater contamination at the KOK property, located at 2403 Navy Drive, Stockton, <br /> California (Figure 1). On September 26, 1986, one 1,000 gallon underground fuel storage tank <br /> was removed at the project site (Figure 2) by the owner of the property at that time. <br /> Correspondence from the SJCPHS dated August 13, 1991, and a San Joaquin County <br /> Notification of Hazardous Waste Discharge Report (August 15, 1991) both disclose one or more <br /> soil samples were retrieved during the tank excavation, and through laboratory analysis, <br /> exhibited elevated levels of petroleum hydrocarbons. Laboratory results were not available for <br /> review at the time of this writing.
