 F rm
Fourth Quarter 1992 Activity Report
KOK Realty, 2403 W Navy Dr , Stockton, CA
February to, 1993
Page 2
site. A detailed discussion of the initial subsurface investigation can be found in RESNA's
"Intenm Problem Assessment Report, Soil and Groundwater Contamination, " dated June 8,
1992
Groundwater samples were collected from each monitoring well subsequent to development and
submitted to a state-certified laboratory for analysis of BTEX and TPHG Laboratory results
indicated that gasoline constituents were present above laboratory method detection limits in the
groundwater samples collected from each site monitoring well Initial groundwater monitoring
data (March, 1992) determined groundwater flow direction to the south
RESNA has been retained by KOK Realty Corp to perform quarterly groundwater monitoring
and sampling of the three site monitoring wells This work is being performed at the requested
of PHS/EHD
GROUNDWATER MONITORING AND SAMPLING
. RESNA personnel performed groundwater monitoring in November and December, 1992
Sampling of the site monitoring wells was conducted on November 30, 1992 Field work
consisted of measuring the depth-to-water in wells MW1, MW2, and MW3; using a electronic
water/product interface probe to determine if free product was present, purging and sampling
the wells, and subjectively analyzing collected water samples for the presence of petroleum
hydrocarbon constituents
Static groundwater elevations were measured in each monitoring well on November 30 and
December 16, 1992 Groundwater gradient maps are presented on Figures 2 and 3,
respectively Groundwater monitoring data is summarized in Table 1
Figure 2 depicts a northerly groundwater gradient of 0 0043 ft/ft or approximately 23 feet/mile
Figure 3 depicts northerly flow at a steeper gradient of 0 0066 ft/ft or approximately 35
feet/mile Fluid level measurements indicated groundwater flow direction beneath the site during
the fourth quarter is not consistent with the March 1992 southerly flow direction Groundwater
gradient at the site will be closely monitored to evaluate significant trends
During the November and December monitorings, free product was detected in well MW2 The
electronic water/product interface probe did not detect the presence of free product in either
MW 1 or MW3 during monitoring events The probe has an accuracy to the nearest 0 01 foot
Approximately 0 5 gallons of free product was removed from MW2 in December 16, 1992 and
secured on site in a DOT approved double containment salvage drum
40MR1992 FNL
