XZMAA
Fourth Quarter 1992 Activity Report
KOK Realty, 2403 W Navy Dr , Stockton, CA
February 10, 1993
Page 3
Groundwater samples were collected from monitoring wells MW1 and MW3 on November 30,
1992 Well MW2 was neither purged nor sampled due to the presence of free product in the
well Samples were collected after stabilization of pH, electrical conductivity (EC), and
temperature Monitoring wells MW 1 and MW3 were purged and sampled according to
RESNA's Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan on file with the PHS/EHD A total of 44 and
38 gallons of water were removed from wells MW 1 and MW3, respectively Purge water was
contained in labelled DOT approved 55 gallon drums and stored on site pending laboratory
analysis and proper disposal A dedicated disposable bailer was used to collect each water
sample Well purge logs are included in Attachment 1
LABORATORY ANALYSIS
Collected groundwater samples were placed on ice and transported under chain-of-custody
protocol to state-certified RESNA Environmental Laboratories in Fremont, California Samples
were analyzed for BTEX and TPHG by EPA methods 8020 and modified 8015, respectively
Elevated petroleum hydrocarbon constituents were detected in monitoring wells MW 1 and MW3
These results are consistent with the analysis of groundwater samples collected on March 17,
1992 Analytical results for groundwater are summarized in Table 2 Laboratory data sheets
are included as Attachment 2
OTHER SITE ACTIVITIES
Wellhead Resurvey
Wellheads were resurveyed on December 16, 1992 under the direction of a California Registered
Civil Engineer This task was performed to confirm previous wellhead elevation data and the
validity of previous relative water elevation data The December 1992 survey data confirmed
that initial survey information was accurate
Facility Well Investigation
Pursuant to PHS/EHD correspondence dated June 11, 1992, the unused onsite well was
investigated A video log of the well was produced by Water Well Technology, Inc , on July
16, 1992 Supervision of logging activities was provided by Delta Pump Company personnel
The video log revealed that the 8-inch diameter well was cased to a depth of approximately 102
feet below grade The total depth of the well is approximately 155 feet below grade No casing
4QMR1992 FNL
