1 v �" 'AF <br /> fn <br /> qR <br /> A S S O C I A T E S I N C <br /> y Lt <br /> Summary Report of <br /> 1 Supplemental Subsurface Investigation <br /> C&R International Sales <br /> 2403 W Navy Dnve <br />' Stockton, Califonua <br /> ATC Project No 54 25803 0001 <br /> 1 <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> ATC Associates Inc hasre ared this n <br /> p p s re part, o behalf of C&R International Sales to summarize <br />' findings of the supplemental subsurface investigation performed at C&R International Sales, 2403 <br /> W Navy Dnve, Stockton, California (Figure 1) The purpose of the subsurface investigation was <br /> to evaluate the vertical and honzontal extent of petroleum impacted soil and groundwater in the <br /> vicinity of the former underground storage tank (UST) This work was performed at the direction <br />' of San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) in <br /> correspondence dated November 7, 2000 <br /> 1_1 Site Location <br /> The site is located on the north side of West Navy Drive, Stockton, California, as shown on <br /> Figure 1 The location is primanly an industrial area C&R International Sales currently occupies <br /> the site <br /> 1.22 Background <br />' The site was the location of one underground storage tank In response to a San Joaquin County <br /> Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) request for a subsurface <br /> investigation, RESNA Industries, Inc (RESNA) was engaged by the law firm of McDermott, Will <br />' & Emery to assess the nature and extent of soil and groundwater contamination at the site <br /> In early 1992, a RESNA field geologist observed the dulling of three soil bonngs (MW1, MW2, <br /> 1 and MW3) at the site to characterize subsurface conditions Groundwater was encountered at a <br /> depth of approximately 15-I6 feet below ground surface (bgs) The borings were advanced to a <br /> 1 depth of approximately 30 feet below grade and subsequently converted to groundwater <br /> monitonng wells <br /> Laboratory analysis of soil samples collected from the three bonngs determined that petroleum <br /> hydrocarbon constituents were detected in the soil within 4-5 feet of the static water levels at the <br /> site Laboratory analysis of groundwater samples collected from the wells subsequent to <br />' development indicated that gasoline constituents were present above laboratory method detection <br /> limits in the groundwater samples collected from each site monitoring well Initial groundwater <br />' w Iwordpro1238031Su6_mv doc <br />
