c T <br /> 1117 Lone Palm Avenue Suite B <br /> Modesto California 95351 <br /> /t <br /> www atc-envi ro corn <br /> L 209 579 2221 <br /> Fax 209 5792225 <br /> August 21, 2000 <br /> Mr Jeff Wong <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> Environmental Health Division <br /> 304 E Weber Ave , Fourth Floor <br /> Stockton, CA 95201-0388 <br /> Subject First Quarter 2000 Groundwater Monitoring for KOK Realty, 2403 W Navy <br /> Drive, Stockton, California <br /> Dear Mr Wong <br /> This letter report summarizes fieldwork completed by ATC Associates Inc (ATC) on behalf of <br /> KOK Realty at 2403 W Navy Drive, Stockton, California during the First Quarter of 2000 The <br /> site location is shown on Figure 1 <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> The site was the location of one underground storage tank In response to a San Joaquin County <br /> Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) request for a subsurface <br /> investigation, RESNA Industries, Inc (RESNA) was engaged by the law firm of McDermott, <br /> Will & Emery to assess the nature and extent of soil and groundwater contamination at the site <br /> In early 1992, a RESNA field geologist observed the drilling of three soil borings (MW I, MW2, <br /> and MW3) at the site to characterize subsurface conditions Groundwater was encountered at a <br /> depth of approximately 15-16 feet below ground surface (bgs) The borings were advanced to a <br /> depth of approximately 30 feet below grade and subsequently converted to groundwater <br /> monitoring wells <br /> Laboratory analysis of soil samples collected from the three borings determined that petroleum <br /> hydrocarbon constituents were detected in the soil within 4-5 feet of the static water levels at the <br /> site Laboratory analysis of groundwater samples collected from the wells subsequent to <br /> development indicated that gasoline constituents were present above laboratory method detection <br /> limits in the groundwater samples collected from each site monitoring well Initiai groundwater <br /> monitoring data (March 1992) determined groundwater flow direction to the south A detailed <br /> discussion of the initial subsurface investigation can be found in RESNA's "Interim Problem <br /> Assessment Report, Soil and Groundwater Contamination,"dated June 8, 1992 <br /> W 1 625811QUARTLYIIQR 12000 doc <br />
