A S S O C I A T E S I N C 1 y <br /> September 8, 1998 <br /> Mr Jeff Wong r J <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> Environmental Health Division j <br /> PO Box 388 <br /> Stockton, CA 95201-0388 <br /> Subject Second Quarter 1998 Groundwater Monitoring for KOK Realty, 2403 W Navy <br /> Drive, Stockton, California <br /> Dear Mr Wong <br /> This letter report summarizes field work completed by ATC Associates Inc (ATC) on behalf of <br /> KOK Realty at 2403 W Navy Drive, Stockton, California during the second quarter of 1998 <br /> The site location is shown on Figure 1 <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> The site was the location of one underground storage tank In response to a San Joaquin County <br /> Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) request for a subsurface <br /> investigation, RESNA-htdustnes, Inc (RESNA) was engaged by the Iaw firm of McDermott, Will <br /> &Emery to assess the nature and extent of soil and groundwater contamination at the site <br /> In early 1992, a RESNA field geologist observed the drilling of three soil borings (NMI, MW2, <br /> and MW3) at the site to characterize subsurface conditions Groundwater was encountered at a <br /> depth of approximately 15-16 feet below ground surface (bgs) The borings were advanced to a <br /> depth of approximately 30 feet below grade and subsequently converted to groundwater <br /> monitoring wells <br /> Laboratory analysis of soil samples collected from the three bonngs determined that petroleum <br /> hydrocarbon constituents were detected in the soil within 4-5 feet of the static water levels at the <br /> site Laboratory analysis of groundwater samples collected from the wells subsequent to <br /> development indicated that gasoline constituents were present above laboratory method detection <br /> linuts in the groundwater samples collected from each site monitoring well Initial groundwater <br /> monitoring data (March 1992) determined groundwater flow direction to the south A detailed <br /> discussion of the initial subsurface investigation can be found in RESNA's "Interim Problem <br /> • Assessment Report, Soil and Groundwater Contamination, "dated June 8, 1992 <br /> 15W911QUARTLY52QR 1998 doe <br />
