Cherokee, Stockton <br />Program: HW <br />SUMMARY TI <br />CLASS I, CLASS II, or INOR-Notice to Com <br />This is a Routine hazardous waste inspection conducted at the referenced facility by San Joaquin <br />County Environmental Health Department (EHD). The following are Minor Violations - Notice to Comply: <br />7, 8,15 , 20, 50, 52, 60, 63 <br />7. Observed bondo dust on the shop floor as a result of grinding and sanding activities, and two aerosol <br />waste cans with content sill inside in a box next to the paint booth. <br />-- Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. <br />* Immediately make a hazardous waste determination for both the bondo dust and aerosal cans, and <br />manage them according the Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Particles 100 microns or smaller <br />must be handled as hazardous waste if the metal is determined to be a hazardous waste. Submit a <br />statement and supporting documentation explaining how this waste was managed by June 20, 2011. <br />8. This facility does not have a valid EPA ID number to manage hazardous waste. <br />-- A hazardous waste generator shall not treat, store, dispose of, transport or offer for transportation, <br />hazardous waste without an EPA ID number. <br />* Immediately obtain an EPA ID number to manage hazardous waste and submit evidence to the EHD <br />by June 20, 2011. A form has been provided. <br />15. No container for solid hazardous waste was maintained on site. <br />-- Facility shall maintain spill control and decontamination equipment, and tested if required, to assure <br />its proper operation in time of emergency. <br />* Immediately provide spill control and decontamination equipment per this section and submit evidence <br />of correction to EHD. <br />20 & 50. Hazardous waste labels of three 55 -gallon containers of used oil, waste paint, and oily water <br />were incomplete. Owner stated he had not disposed the above containers since starting business in <br />2010. <br />-- All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br />1. the words "Hazardous Waste", 2. name and address of generator <br />3. hazardous properties, 4. physical state, 5. composition (contents), 6. accumulation start date <br />Facilities may store hazardous waste on site up to 180 days. <br />* Immediately label these containers and ensure that all containers are marked with all the required <br />information.
