The excavation area is approximately
500 acres, and the project is tentatively scheduled to be implemented
over a 30 year period.
Planning staff has reviewed this pre-application and offers the
following comments:
Drainage:
1 . Drainage calculations are needed for each phase. The application
should also include what effects this operation may have on
siltation, off-site flooding, and the disruption of existing
vegetation.
2 . All drainage courses should be shown on the cross-sections.
According to our records , a stream course bisects the subject
site. This should be shown on the site plan, and it should
be indicated if the stream carries any measurable flow of
water. Indicate if any proposed excavation activities will
be in the stream course area.
3 . With reference to cross-section 6 , what is the dip? Is an
intermittant watercourse being eliminated? If so, what will
the effects be?
4 . The post-project drainage both onto and through the site need
to be addressed.
