Facilities shall be <br />maintained and operated to <br />minimize the possibility of a fire, explosion, or release of hazardous waste to air, soil, or <br />surface water which could t <br />reaten human health or the environment. Immediately stop and/or containerize the <br />leaking hazardous waste , <br />nd manage according to Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement and <br />supporting documentation e <br />plaining how this waste was managed. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br />401 <br />CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed <br />o store hazardous waste in a container that is in good condition. <br />The following drums were n <br />t in good condition. <br />-Four 55 gallon drums on th <br />south side of the facility had severe rusting and corroded. <br />-One 55 gallon drum on the <br />outh west side of the facility labeled as thinner had a hole and releasing hazardous waste <br />Hazardous waste shall be s <br />ored in a container that are in good condition. Immediately transfer all hazardous wastes <br />into containers that are in g <br />d condition or have hazardous wastes properly disposed of by a licensed hazardous <br />waste hauler under a proper <br />manifest. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br />404 <br />CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed <br />to inspect hazardous waste storage areas at least weekly. <br />Hazardous waste containers <br />are not inspected weekly <br />-Four 55 gallon containers o <br />hazardous waste on the south side of the facility had rust and were corroded. <br />-One 55 gallon container on <br />he south west side of the facility had a hole and leaking hazardous waste. <br />Hazardous waste container <br />torage and transfer areas shall be inspected weekly for leaking containers and for <br />deterioration of containers a <br />d the containment system caused by corrosion and other factors.
