Bowen Property <br /> 26783 North Cherokee Lane, Galt <br /> APN 005-110-13, SR0078905 <br /> The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has reviewed your response to EHD <br /> review document dated April 13, 2020. <br /> According to the water analysis report that you submitted, the water was analyzed using Method Code SM <br /> 4500-NO3-N, the method used in analyzing water for Nitrate as Nitrogen. According to California State <br /> Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (ELAP), A & L Western Laboratories is accredited to do <br /> Nitrate (as N) SM4500-NO3 F-2000. <br /> After reviewing the Method Code and ELAP certification, EHD made determination of suitability of the well for <br /> source of the potable water supply based on the concentration of Nitrate as Nitrogen in the well water sample. <br /> The Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL)for Nitrate as Nitrogen in drinking water is 10 mg/L;the concentration <br /> of Nitrate as Nitrogen in well water was 15 mg/L. <br /> If A & L Wester Laboratories listed the method code in error A& L Western Laboratories may resubmit the <br /> water analysis result with correct method code and justification for the change. <br /> If you have any questions please contact Michael Kith, REHS, Program Coordinator, at 209-468-3444 or <br /> mkith(cD-slgov.org. <br /> Jichael Kith, REHS <br /> Program Coordinator <br /> Attachment: <br /> 1.
