}
23 June 2001
AGE-NC Project No 99-0592
I
' Far June 2001 The gradient map includes data from monitoring wells located at 3535 East Cherokee
Road
' 3 2 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
' Petroleum hydrocarbons were detected in the ground water sample collected from monitoring well
MW-1 TPH-g and TPH-d were detected at concentrations of 310 micrograms per liter (µg/l) and
280 µg/l, respectively Benzene, toluene and xylenes were detected at concentrations of 1 8 µg/l, 13
' µg/l and 0 89 µg/1,respectively MTBE was detected at a concentration of 20 µg/1(by EPA Method
8260) in the sample from MW-1 None of the target analytes were detected in sample DW-1
collected from the active domestic well
Analytical results for the ground water samples for the June 2001 monitoring event are summarized
' on Tables 2 and 3 The laboratory report (MAI Lab IDs 70404 and 70405), QA/QC and chain-of-
custody are included in Appendix B
4.0. SUMMARY/CONCLUSIONS
' The following conclusions were drawn from the results of the site investigation and data collected
from adjacent sites
' S Groundwater elevation at the site decreased approximately 3 7 feet since the 28 March 2001
monitoring event
' • The inferred local ground water flow direction is toward the northeast at a gradient of
approximately 0 001 ft/ft Additional monitoring wells located at 3 53 5 East Cherokee Road
were utilized to construct a ground water flow direction map for the subject site
' 9 TPH-g and TPH-d were detected in the groundwater sample from monitoring well MW-1
at concentrations of 310 µg/1 and 280 µg/l, respectively Both analyte concentrations were
slightly higher than the concentrations detected during, the March 2001 sampling event
MTBE was detected at a concentration of 20 µg/1 rn MW-1, a slight decrease compared to
the March 2001 samplmg event The detected concentration of MTBE is above the Primary
' Maximum Containment Level of 13 µg/1
0 None of the target analytes were detected in the ground water sample collected from
' domestic well DW-1
Advanced GeaEnvironmental,Inc
