INTRODUCTION
' At the request of Mr Weilburg of Moore Truck Lines,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE)
has prepared this Quarterly Report for the site at 3400 Newton Road,Stockton, California The scope
of work included monitoring and sampling one ground water monitoring well for petroleum
' hydrocarbons One well, MW-1, was utilized for monitoring ground water impact associated with
a unauthorized release of petroleum hydrocarbons from USTs formerly located near the truck
maintenance and repair shop building The preparation of this report was required by the San Joaquin
' County Public Health Services-Environmental Health Division(PHS-EHD)to document and update
site status The site setting is illustrated on Figure 1 Locations of structures, borings, domestic wells,
and the monitoring well on the site are illustrated on Figure 2 Locations of structures and
I monitoring wells on adjacent sites are illustrated on Figure 3 A ground water elevation map with
flow direction indicated is illustrated on Figure 4
Site history and findings from previous investigations at the site are detailed in the Preliminary
Investigation and Evaluation Report- 15 September 1999 (PIER) prepared by AGE
I• ,
2.0. PROCEDURES
IThe work was performed in accordance with San Joaquin County PHS-EHD and Central Valley
Regional Water Quality Control Board guidelines, for investigation of underground storage tank
(UST) sites
2 1 MONITORING WELL PURGE PROCEDURES
On 15 November 1999, a Solmst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground 'water
in monitoring well MW-1 relative to the top of the well casing After the ground water depth
measurement was collected, monitoring well MW-1 was purged using a polyvinylchloride (PVC)
bailer The well was purged dry three times prior to sampling Approximately 3 6 gallons of water
Iwere evacuated from the monitoring well, equivalent to three well-casing volumes
Temperature,pH and conductivity were measured at 1-gallon intervals, using an ICM model 52200
water analyzer to monitor stabilization of these ground water parameters Monitoring well field
parameters are summarized in a table and along with the field data log is included in Appendix A
Purged water is temporarily being stored on-site in 55-gallon drums
Advanced GcoEnvironmental,Inc
I ,
