4 <br /> 1 r <br /> 04 Febru'ary 2000 <br /> AGE-NC Project No 99-0647 <br />' Page 3 of 4 <br />' 32 LABORATORY RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES <br /> Petroleum hydrocarbons were detected in the ground water sample collected from monitoring well <br />' MW-1, located within the former UST excavation TPH-g was detected at concentrations as high as <br /> 970 micrograms per liter (,ug/l) Xylenes were detected at concentrations as high as 17 Mg/1 No <br /> other volatile aromatic compounds were detected above the reporting limit in sample MW-1-11- <br />' 15-99 MTBE was detected in monitoring well MW-1 at a concentration as high as 38 ug/l <br /> Analytical results of the ground water sample for the November 1999 monitoring event are <br />' summarized on Tables 2 and 3 The laboratory report (MAI Laboratory ID 25629), QA/QC and <br /> chain-of-custody are included in Appendix B <br /> i <br /> 4.0. SUMMARY/CONCLUSIONS <br />' The following conclusions were drawn from the results of the site investigation and data collected <br /> from adjacent sites <br /> li <br /> • Ground water elevation at the site increased approximately 0 29 feet since the 23 September <br /> 1999 monitoring event <br />' The inferred ground water gradient on 23 September 1999 was calculated to be 0 002 ft/ft <br /> toward the northeast Additional monitoring wells located at an adjacent site (3535 East <br />' Cherokee Road - Cherokee Truck Stop)were utilized to construct the ground water gradient <br /> map <br />' TPH-g was detected in the ground water sample from monitoring well MW-1 at a <br /> concentration of 970µg/1 <br /> • MTBE was detected at a concentration of 38 yg/l in ground water sample MW-1-11-15-99 <br />' analyzed by EPA Method 8020 at 37 µg11 by EPA Method 8260M <br /> • Xylenes were detected in the water sample collected from MW-1 at a concentration of 17 <br /> 'ug/l <br /> 5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> Based on the results of this investigation, AGE recommends <br /> .
