19 January 2006 5
• AGE-NC Project No 99-0592
I3 1 GROUND WATER GRADIENT AND FLOW DIRECTION
On 06 September 2005, depth to ground water was measured between 65 68 feet and 66 26 feet
below the top of the well casings, ground water elevations at the site ranged from-39 27 feet below
mean sea level (MSL) in MW-2 to 39 64 feet below MSL in well MW-3 The water table level was
not encountered in well MW-1 The groundwater flow was directed toward the south-southeast with
a hydraulic gradient calculated at approximately 0 005 foot/foot (ft/ft) Depth to water and ground
water elevations are summarized in Table 1 Figures 3 illustrates the contoured ground water
elevations
3 2 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
' No analytes of concern were detected above laboratory reporting limits in the samples collected for
the third quarter monitoring event Analytical results for the ground water samples from the
' September 2005 monitoring event are summarized in Tables 2 and 3 The laboratory report (CTEL
Project No CT214-0509039B), quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) reports and chain of
custody are included in Appendix B Documents confirming the upload of laboratory electronic
' deliverable format (EDF) files and depth to water measurements to GeoTracker are included in
Appendix C
'
4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
' Based on the findings from this investigation, AGE concludes
' Ground water at the site for the September 2005 monitoring event was inferred to be flowing
toward the south-southeast at an average gradient of 0 005 ft/ft The ground water flow
direction is inconsistent with previous monitoring events The flow direction has rotated
' approximately 45 degrees l.5 , Av
• The average ground water elevation at the site on 06 September 2005 was 38 40 feet below
MSL The average ground water elevation at the site decreased approximately 3 66 feet
' between the June 2005 and September 2005 monitoring events
• None of the target analytes were detected in third quarter 2005 ground water samples
1
' 5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
• Based on the results of this investigation, AGE submitted a Closure Summary Report, dated
Advanced GcoEnvironmental,Inc
