CCR 66266.80 and 66266.81 req ire spent lead acid batteries be managed within one year if generator stores one ton or less at an single location, or within 180 days if stores more than one ton. Immediately ' disport the spent lead acid atteries in accordance to i-itie 22, submit a copy of the disposal receipt to EHD band retain all dispo al records on site for at least three years. NOTES (The following are not violations) The facility generated 1920 pounds of hazardous waste in 2010. Observed one 55 -gallon con ainer (see Item #20 & 50) used for puncturing aerosol cans. Generator stated they no longer punctu e aerosol cans, the container was left over from a time when they did, and intends to dispose of the container altogether. Please be aware that if you choose to puncture aerosol cans, you must notify EHD i writing, and managed the waste collected from the cans in accordance to Title 22. Facility has a three stage cla iffier. Generator states back in the 90's the clarifier was used for a different purpose and liquid waste, bu they had since stopped that operation a long time ago. Currently only small amount of water used t cool the metal in a welding equipment goes into the clarifier. It is unknown if the City of Stockt in Municipal Department is aware of the current use. Please be aware EHD will make a referral to t e City of Stockton Municipal Department. Also, as a generator you are required to make a hazardou� waste determination of the waste from the clarifier when you clean it out and manage it accordingly. A copy of CUPA class schedble, and San Joaquin County Small Business Hazardous Waste Disposal Program pamphlet, have been provided to generator during this inspection. Submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification, a statement how each violation was corrected, and any evidence and documlent (i.e. disposal receipts) to EHD by: September 2, 2011 ALL EHD STAFF TIME ASSOCIATED WITF FAILING TO COMPLY BY THE ABOVE NOTED DATES WILL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE ($122).
