Copies of Universal Waste disposal records were not found on site. A copy of the disposal receipts <br />of Universal Waste shall be retained on site available for inspection. Immediately locate a copy of all <br />Universal Waste disposal records for the last three years, maintain them on site, and submit copies to <br />the EHD by September 2, 2011. <br />999. Unable to determine length of storage the five spent lead acid batteries in the storage room. CCR <br />66266.80 and 66266.81 re uire spent lead acid batteries be managed within one year if generator <br />stores one ton or less at a y single location, or within 180 days if stores more than one ton. Immediately <br />dispose the spent lead aci batteries in accordance to Title 22, submit a copy of the disposal receipt to <br />EHD by September 2, 201 , and retain all disposal records on site for at least three years. <br />NOTES (The following are not violations) <br />The facility generated 192C pounds of hazardous waste in 2010. <br />Observed one 55 -gallon c ntainer (see Item #20 & 50) used for puncturing aerosol cans. Generator <br />stated they no longer punc ure aerosol cans, the container was left over from a time when they did, and <br />intends to dispose of the c ntainer altogether. Please be aware that if you choose to puncture aerosol <br />cans, you must notify EHD in writing, and managed the waste collected from the cans in accordance to <br />Title 22. <br />Facility has a three stage clarifier. Generator states back in the 90's the clarifier was used for a different <br />purpose and liquid waste, but they had since stopped that operation a long time ago. Currently only <br />small amount of water used to cool the metal in a welding equipment goes into the clarifier. It is <br />unknown if the City of Stockton Municipal Department is aware of the current use. Please be aware <br />EHD will make a referral to the City of Stockton Municipal Department. Also, as a generator you are <br />required to make a hazardous waste determination of the waste from the clarifier when you clean it out <br />and manage it accordingly. <br />A copy of CUPA class schedule, and San Joaquin County Small Business Hazardous Waste Disposal <br />Program pamphlet, have been provided to generator during this inspection. <br />Submit a copy of the Retur to Compliance Certification, a statement how each violation was corrected, <br />and any evidence and doc�ment (i.e. disposal receipts) to EHD by: September 2, 2011 <br />ALL EHD STAFF TIME ASSOCIATED WITH FAILING TO COMPLY BY THE ABOVE NOTED DATES WILL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE ($122). <br />THIS FACILITY IS,SUBJECT TO REINSPECTION AT ANYTIME AT EHD'S CURRENT HOURLY RATE. <br />EH Spector <br />R iv^ednByn: <br />itle: <br />VV1 <br />U V/ U <br />EHD 23-02-003 Rev 08/10/10 CONTINUATION FORM <br />
