Weber Avenue, 3rd Floor
Stockton, CA 95202
Re: Underground Storage Tank Compliance. Econo Lube N' Tune #130, 6970
West Lane, Stockton, CA 95210.
Dear Mr. Wilson,
We have carefully reviewed your letter sent on 12/11/98. Our records indicate that your
tank is in compliance with Federal, State and Local Underground Storage Tank
Regulations.
The Underground Storage Tank for the above location has the following specifications:
Double Wall Tank:
The double wall tank has a capacity of 500 gallons and is UL listed (UL File # MH4199,
manufactured by JOOR, Mfg., California). The tank has secondary containment which is
5mm thick. The entire exterior is coated with Fiberglass Reinforced Polyester Resin of
3mm thickness (FRR). Before installation the exterior structure was inspected for
"Holidays" (Pinholes) by using a Tinker & Rasor Model AP -W Holiday Detector Set at
35,000Volts. The interstice of the tank as well as the tank itself is piped for ventilation
above the highest point of the building structure. The tank has a striker plate that protects
against accidental "stick piercing".
Double Wall Piping:
The primary product line is made of galvanized steel piping. The secondary containment
is made of Fiberglass. Both the primary and secondary containment piping have been
pressure tested (after installation) to an internal pressure of 5psi. Flex joints
accommodate seismic movement. The piping is exposed torg avitX product flow only;
not pressure. Less than 5 minutes per working day product will flow through the piping
at less than 25 gallons per transfer.
Monitoring:
Constant interstitial monitoring with two (2) strategically placed sensors will trigger an
audio/visual alarm, in case of an oil release into the secondary containment. The alarm
control box is located in the vicinity of the UST Every day the tank operator checks the
annunciation in test mode. The monitoring system is inspected annually by a licensed
contractor. As per request by the San Joaquin Environmental Health Division
Ms. L. Briggs, R.E.H.S., we have modified the system in July of 1993,
2302 MARTIN STREET • SUITE 275 • IRVINE , CA 92612
(949) 852-6630
