Page 2
December 29, 1998
#130 Stockton
Spill and Overfill Prevention:
The take-out piping of the UST terminates in a spill container with a minimum of 5
gallon capacity. Any waste oil spilling from the suction hose of the waste oil hauler is
contained in this overspill container. It is located within a concrete pad. The take-out
pipe in the spill box has a lock to prevent undesired fill and/or vandalism. The fill line in
the service pit is non -pressurized and comes from the drain cart that is below the tank
take out -spout; therefore it is impossible to "overfill". The UST receives much less per
product fill at one time and is in compliance with California Regulations for
Underground Storage Tanks, Section 2665 and the referenced Section 2635(b)(3).
We have contacted Mr. Mike Kith Tel: (209) 468-3444 on 12/28/98 to confirm that the
UST system is in compliance.
Sincerely,
D. McCombs
Environmental Department
Cc: F. R. Waechter
B. Cowdell
Attachments: Your letter dated 12/11/98 for reference.
