•
ECONO
LUBEWTUNEe, ,C
Mr. Noor Noory, Franchisee February 5, 1993
ECONO LUBE N' TUNE SHOP NO.130
6970 West Lane
Stockton, CA 95210
Subject: SHOP NO.130 - ADDITIONAL & REVISED INFORMATION TO BE
INCORPORATED IN YOUR HAZARDOUS MATERIALS BUSINESS PLAN
Dear Mr. Noory,
A new underground storage tank leak detection system was installed
at the above location on February 3, 1993, to replace the original
unit which we discovered was destroyed by an electrical short.
Attached is the technical data on the new leak detection system;
an MSA "Tankgard" monitoring console with audible & visual alarms
in the event of a leak, connected to two liquid probes in the tank
annular space and piping sump. At the County's request, we also
performed a Precision Test of the entire underground waste oil
collection system on the same day. The leak detection system was
demonstrated to the County Inspector, Tish Briggs, during her
inspection of the entire installation the afternoon of February 3,
1993.
During her inspection, Ms. Briggs mentioned that you need to keep
a sealable, properly labled, drum on the premises to hold waste
oil in the event that your collection system is full, and the
waste oil hauler cannot pump out the tank immediately.
Please revise the leak detection system description in your
Hazardous Materials Business Plan, and add a procedure to follow
in the event your system is entirely filled prior to the waste oil
hauler being able to pump it out.
We need your assistance with respect to the Business Plan, and
implementation of your operating procedures, to obtain an Under-
ground Tank Operating Permit for your shop.
Sincerely,
FImol
►.
Larry Bell cc: F.R.
