PUBLIC ?1EALTH SERNICES
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH DIVISION
Ernest M. Fujimoto, M.D., M.P.H., Acting Health Officer
445 N. San Joaquin Street • P.O. Eleventh Street
Tracy, CA
In August. 1989, San Joaquin County Public Health Services,
Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) approved plans for the
installation of new underground storage tanks (UST's) at the above
referenced site. New UST's have not been installed to date and the
installation permit has expired. PHS/EHD has no objections to the
installation of new UST's as long as their installation does not
interfere with remediation of the site. New plans must be
submitted to and approved by PHS/EHD prior to the installation of
new UST's.
Mr. William Stewart, the former property owner, is currently
receiving reimbursement for clean-up costs from the State Water
Resources Control Board UST Cleanup Fund Program (Claim #004208)
for contamination resulting from the previously operated UST's at
this site. Therefore, remediation should continue in a timely
manner.
If you have any questions contact Margaret Lagorio at (209) 468-
3449.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
'_/_Y_L 4_(r
Margaret Lagorio, Lead Senior REHS
Site Mitigation Unit
ML
c: Richard Hamilton, SEMCO
DianeOHinson, REHS
Supervisor
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
