Heinz Tracy Factory <br />• Lodi -Woodbridge Winegrape <br />Commission <br />ELIGIBILITY <br />All San Joaquin County industries, <br />businesses,community groups, private <br />organizations, and agri-businesses are <br />eligible. The project submitted must <br />involve pollution prevention in one of three <br />environmental categories: Air, Land, or <br />Water. Pollution prevention projects should <br />demonstrate: <br />• A reduction in the use of toxic <br />chemicals <br />• Minimization or reduction of the total <br />amount of a waste produced <br />• Recycling a material that otherwise <br />would have been a waste product <br />• Use of equipment that reduced the <br />emission of a particular pollutant <br />• Any other activity including strategy <br />development, research, or <br />education/outreach programs to reduce <br />environmental pollutants <br />To be considered for the award the following <br />conditions must be met: <br />• Applicant must be located within San <br />Joaquin County. <br />• The nominated project must focus on <br />the prevention or minimization of <br />pollution. <br />• The nominated project must be in <br />operation or practice—not just <br />proposed. <br />• The project achievement will be verified <br />by the TOPPS Advisory Council. <br />• Each applicant may submit a maximum <br />of two applications. <br />Submit applications to: <br />TOPPS AWARD <br />P.O. Its purpose is to <br />demonstrate that pollution prevention is cost <br />effective and improves the quality of life for <br />the residents of this county.
