Under no circumstances should the safety <br /> of personnel be placed in jeopardy. If at any of the steps below, you feel that the task exceeds your training, <br /> equipment,physical ability, or Safeway's policies and procedures-stop,re-assess, and call for additional assistance. <br /> Small spills - Chemicals will be picked up with absorbent materials by our maintenance,supervisors and/or and ` <br /> sanitation employees using the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety equipment. Waste will be <br /> placed in a labeled waste drum and properly disposed of. <br /> Large spills -If necessary., contact the fire department. Contact an approved remediation contractor to clean up the <br /> spill.
