Release of compressed gasses: <br />Use the following steps, only if safe to do so and using proper personal protective equipment <br />1. Isolate areas and make notifications <br />2. Remove sources of ignition <br />3. Shut off valves/systems <br />4. Ventilate area of release <br />5. Reduce pressure in container/system <br />6. Suppress vapors with water (if applicable) <br />Spills of solid or powder materials: <br />Use the following steps, only if safe to do so and using proper personal protective equipment <br />1. Isolate area and make notifications <br />2. Position container so as to stop the leak <br />3. Cover spill to prevent spread <br />4. Neutralize spilled material (if applicable) <br />5. Place spilled material in a labeled waste drum or bag <br />
