This is a minor violation. <br /> 301 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. <br /> The production shop floor had a wet oil stain and about a cup of automatic transmission fluid that had released from <br /> one of the company trucks. Facilities shall be maintained and operated to minimize the possibility of a fire, explosion, or <br /> release of hazardous waste to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. <br /> Immediately clean up the wet oil stain and automatic transmission fluid, and manage according to Title 22 hazardous <br /> waste regulations. Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how this waste was managed. This is <br /> a minor violation. <br /> 608 CCR 66266.130 Failed to properly manage used oil and fuel filters. <br /> Six used oil filters were left in unlabeled open five gallon buckets. Six used oil filters were left in an oil collection pan. <br /> Used oil filters shall be drained of free-flowing oil, stored in a closed, rainproof container, labeled as "drained used oil <br /> filters," and marked with an accumulation start date. Immediately transfer the drained used oil filters in a compatible <br /> container, label containers of drained used oil filters as"drained used oil filters", add an accumulation start date, close <br /> the container, and ensure that all used oil filters are managed in this way.
