The <br /> groundwater sample will be allowed to fill each vial until overflowing. The septum cap will <br /> be replaced and the vial inverted and inspected to ascertain that the vial contains no <br /> headspace or trapped air bubbles. Samples will be carefully handled and packaged to protect <br /> sample integrity. Soil and groundwater samples will be cushioned with bubble wrap or <br /> styrofoam and placed in an insulated cooler for transportation. The cooler will be packed <br /> with "Blue-Ice" or "water-ice" to maintain a temperature of approximately VC. A <br /> thermometer would be placed in the cooler to monitor the temperature. If delivered to the <br /> laboratory by commercial transport, the shipping container will be sealed with a tamper- <br /> indicative Custody Seal. <br /> Sample Labeling <br /> Each sample will be identified by a sample label.
