(GeoAudit) has prepared an Interim Work Plan for the
subject site. In addition to work performed on the subject site, the work plan proposes to
drill two soil borings on the Jimco Truck Plaza Property located immediately north of the
subject site.
In a letter dated March 20, 1995, several concerns were raised regarding drilling on the
Jimco Property. The following information addresses those concerns:
♦ The dimensions of the proposed borings are included in the work pian. The borings
will be drilled using 8.25-inch diameter augers to a depth of approximately 20 feet.
♦ Immediately after drilling, the borings will be backfilled to surface grade with
Portland cement. Therefore, the drilling excavations will be only temporary. We
anticipate drilling and sampling and backfilling to be completed in about four hours.
GeoAudit is currently obtaining a certificate of insurance naming Olympian as additionally
insured. Please provide Ripon Farm Service with an indemnification agreement acceptable
to Jimco Truck Plaza for review. If you have any questions or comments, please contact our
office.
Sincerely,
GEOLOGICAL AUDIT SERVICES, INC.
Bob Marty
Project Manager
!
cc: Mr.Bruce McCandivu-Ripon Farm Service
Mr.James DeMera III-Mullen,Sullivan&Newton
Ms.Mary Meays•Sas Joaquin county PHS/FE D
1
Full Spectrum Environmental Services • Hydrogeology
