Work Plan Addendum - September 1997 <br /> RIPON FARM SERVICE <br /> 22871 South Highway 99, Ripon, California <br /> 1.0. INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK <br /> In accordance with a request from Ripon Fane Service (RFS),Advanced GeoEnvironrnental, Inc. <br /> (AGE) has prepared this Work Plan Addendum for additional soil and ground water investigation <br /> at 22871 South Highway 99 in Ripon, California. <br /> The scope of work includes the advancement of five soil borings; borings will be completed as <br /> ground water monitoring wells, soil vapor extraction(SVE)wells or in-situ air sparging (IAS)wells. <br /> Based upon field observations, additional soil borings may be required to delineate the lateral extent <br /> of hydrocarbon-impacted ground water. If additional soil borings are required, AGE will confirm <br /> boring and/or well locations and construction N ith representatives of the San Joaquin County Public <br /> Health Services - Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) prior to drilling. The location of the <br /> site is illustrated in Figure I - Location 1 fop. A plan of the site is depicted in Figure '-) - Site Plan. <br /> This Work Plan Addendum is prepared in accordance with PHS-EHD and Central Valley Regional <br /> Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) guidelines for the investigation of underground storage <br /> tank (UST) sites <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> 2.1. SITE LOCATION <br /> The site is located in an industrial area of low topographic relief in northern Ripen, east of Jack Tone <br /> Road (Figure 1). The site is currently operated by Ripon Farm Service (RFS). An automotive shop <br /> is located near the northeast corner of the site and an office building and truck scale are located at <br /> the southern corner. The surface of the remainder of the site is covered with gravel. Jimco Truck <br /> Stop is located immediately north of the site. <br /> 2.2. UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL <br /> Four USTs were removed from the site on 15 July 1987. One 10,000-gallon diesel tank (Tank#1) <br /> and one 7,500-gallon diesel tank(Tank:#2)were located near the tuning shop; and one 10,000-gallon <br /> unleaded gasoline tank (Tank #3) and one 10,000-gallon diesel tanks (Tank #4) were located <br /> approximately 120 feet east of the shop. Petroleum hydrocarbons were detected in soil samples <br /> collected below Tanks #1, #2, and #3. <br /> Advanced GcoEnvi ron mental,Inc. <br />
