Highway 99, Morada, California. <br /> The general scope of work will consist of drilling and sampling six soil borings/monitoring <br /> wells at the site to investigate the vertical and lateral extent of soil and groundwater <br /> contamination. At least two discrete groundwater samples will be collected from the <br /> centermost boring to investigate the vertical extent of groundwater contamination. This boring <br /> will also be converted to a groundwater monitoring well. Of the remaining five borings, <br /> discrete groundwater samples will be collected from two borings and the remaining three will <br /> be converted to groundwater monitoring wells to investigate the lateral extent of groundwater <br /> contamination. <br /> In addition to drilling activities, the pump and down hole piping will be removed from the on- <br /> site water supply well to enable video exploration of the well as well as collection of a <br /> groundwater sample directly from the well for laboratory analysis. <br /> SITE BACKGROUND <br /> The subject site is located at 8200 N. Hi i <br /> ghway 99 (corner of Frontage Road and Foppiano Lane), <br /> Morada, CA(Figure 1)- The subject area is bounded by a vacant field to the east, Foppiano Lane <br /> and an unlined drainage ditch to the south, Frontage Road and Highway 99 to the west, and ' <br /> residential ranchettes to the north.
