Obvious contamination was noted <br /> ,.,during tank removal operations, and soil samples taken from beneath the removed tanks <br /> ` Tand.pump island revealed significant levels of petroleum hydrocarbon compounds. The <br /> t excavation was lined with black plastic, and the removed spoil returned to the hole. The <br /> work-area was sealed with 8'high sections of chain link fence. <br /> Because of the high levels of contamination, and the proximity to a water well on the <br /> „;:,property, the San Joaquin Co. EHD is requiring that the vertical limits of contamination be <br /> evaluated, and the domestic well be sampled and it's integrity determined. This work plan <br /> has been prepared to address those issues.
