Although JJW submitted the lowest bid for Project <br /> 3, we have not reviewed their insurance coverage or discussed details of how <br /> they propose to complete that portion of the work. The final selection will be <br /> made after we have obtained more details from the three firms who submitted <br /> bids. Jim Thorpe Oil, Inc. is the lowest bidder for Project 2, and we will recom- <br /> mend to our clients that they contract with them for that portion of the work. <br /> PROPOSED TIME SCHEDULE - after receipt of Cleanup Fund approval: <br /> 1. Remove and disposal of contaminated soil; fill excavation, compact, and cover <br /> with asphalt - within 3 weeks of receiving approval and signing contract. <br /> 2. Sample and investigate condition of domestic well on property - within 2 <br /> weeks of signing contract. <br /> 3. Place two soil borings - as soon as practicable after excavation has been <br /> filled, compacted, and covered with asphalt. <br /> A. Preparation and submittal of report - within 45 days of completion of all phases <br /> of the work. <br /> NOTE: Items 2 & 3 may be performed together in order to make more efficient use <br /> of personel. However, the soil borings cannot be placed until after the excavation <br /> has been restored to it's former condition. <br />
