i ._ .��• .�- ... __ -� - - ¢--mo-.--�. w _ � _ _ - � r _.. �.�m_�_�1�-'3�__ ._�_�� -- Photo ionization detector (PID) readings taken from the soil samples collected during the installation of off-pavement wells show that volatile organic compounds were not present above 2.0 parts per million (ppm) in the upper 30 feet. The highest PID reading was 9.0 ppm in EW3 at 41 feet bgs, with no significant measurements above that depth and the non-detect results from a soil sample collected at 40 feet bgs lead Ground Zero to conclude the PID reading was likely produced by off-gassing from the groundwater plume. Conclusions • Soil contamination is limited to the currently encapsulated area of the former USTs. • Soil confirmation borings in and adjacent to the area of the former USTs indicate that petroleum hydrocarbons have been remediated below laboratory detection limits. • Soil contamination in the paved and undeveloped portions of the property will not contribute to vapor intrusion into the exiting building or future structures placed on the property. • The chemicals of concern in the soil are not detected at concentrations that would pose a risk to human health or the environment. • ESLs show that soil contamination is not detectable at concentrations which would lead to vapor intrusion.-levels that would posey ask-to.human-health-or-.the:eny:iro=� ent- — - - - • Based on Ground Zero's assessment, soil sourced vapor intrusion is not a risk at the Speedy Foods Site.
