w.
Chevron U.S.A. - Page 10
7.1 Soil Profile
Exploratory soil borings were advanced at various locations at the subject
property. The soil profile observed at the subject property generally consisted
- of variable strata of sands with silts and clays from the surface grade to
approximate depths of 30 to 40 feet below the existing surface grade. Below the
40 foot level, the subsoils were interpreted to generally grade to finer silts
and clay with depth to approximately 75 feet below the existing grade. Below
approximately 75 feet, fine sand and silty sands were encountered to the maximum
— depth of our soil borings which terminated at an approximate depth of 85 feet
below the existing grade. Please refer to the "Generalized Soil Profile Section"
included as Plate 4 of this report which generally illustrates the interpreted
soil profile.
For more detailed information regarding subsurface conditions encountered.in
our soil borings, please refer to the logs of soil borings which are included in
Appendix A of this report.
7.2 Ground mater Conditions:
Ground water was encountered in each of our exploratory soil borings at an
approximate depth of 71 feet below the existing grade. However, numerous factors
influence the fluctuation of ground water and evaluation of such factors is
beyond the scope of this investigation.
t .
w.:
DAISES MOORE
