This testing confirmed contaminated soils with the
following constituents in areas listed below:
I. SB-1 4 feet TPH-gas 25 ppm
TPH-diesel 2500 ppm
SB-1 11 feet TPH-gas 49 ppm
TPH-diesel 1300 ppm
2. SB-2 15 feet TPH-diesel 210 ppm
3. SB-3 10 feet TPH-diesel 1500 ppm
4. SB-4 24 feet TPH-diesel 280 ppm
Confirmation that the contaminated soil evidenced in the above
mentioned areas has been remediated must be provided before site
closure will occur. Resampling the existing pit sidewalls and
bottom will not provide this confirmation. With the amount of rain
that San Joaquin County has experienced this year and the open
excavation at the site the contamination may have been driven
deeper below grade.
Confirmation sampling may occur by further excavation (that
encompasses the previous boring sample locations evidencing soil
contamination) and then sampling of the sidewalls and bottom, or by
drilling several soil borings around the current excavation with
samples obtained at the previous boring sample depths.
A Division of San Joaquin Coun y Health tare Services C
