T & T EARTH SERVICES
ft Tom Hunt Tim Smith
P.O. Box 1121 P.O. Box 1618
Jackson, CA 95642 Sutter Creek, CA 95685
W,W T & T (209) 223-2811 (209) 267-0903
' y EI.A7H SERY,ES
s
' October 1 , 1992
Michael Collins
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Dept .
' 455 N. San Joaquin Street
P.O. Box 2009
Stockton, Calif. 95201
Dear Mr . Collins,
' Enclosed are the laboratory results from sampling of the
duplicate soil borings LCSB-10 and LCSB-4D recently completed on
t the Les Calkins Truck Yard site at Acampo . The results show no
detectable 80109 8020 or TPH-G (Cal Luft method ) hydrocarbons
present in any of the four samples. I have completed a general
risk appraisal and a Cal Luft leaching Potential Analysis which
'. are included .
Measurements of the water level in the two wells at the
north end of the property some 1000' from the tank pit showed
' water standing at 56.5 feet and 57.25 feet from ground surface or
at an elevation of 1 .0 feet below sea level . Elevation at the
ground surface at the pit on the concrete slab is 56.55' above
' sea level .
An attempt to sound the well 800 ' west of the pit on the
truck yard lot was unsuccessful due to a constriction in the well
casing . The existing pump in this well was hung at approximately
' 60 feet and recently went dry. The pump was subsequently dropped
twenty one additional feet to renew production. A request was
made to sound the well at Thomas Truck Yard some 600 feet
' southwest of the tank pit but access was denied .
Based on the information the general risk appraisal
indicated that a Leaching Potential Analysis should be performed
for the site. The following is the breakdown of that scoring :
' Minimum depth to ground water 57'-23'=35'
(From deepest contaminated sample) . . . . . . . . .Score 5
' Fractures in subsurface , None. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
