EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
T &T TRUCKING,INC. CLEANUP PROGRAM
I
July.20, 2007
T&T Trucking, Inc. (Site)'is located at 11396 North Highway 99 just south of Lodi, California.
` Gasoline was stared at the Site in a former 4,000 gallon underground storage tank. On February 20,
1995, a 970-gallon release was reported during inventory monitoring (it had leaked underground
from the tank); the remaining fuel was removed from the, tank the same day as the release.
Investigation and cleanup 4-the Site is being conducted, under the supervision of the San Joaquin
County Environmental Health Department (County).
Subsequent tank removal, soil excavation, and site investigations were conducted at the Site. Four
groundwater monitoring wells installed at the Site and one drinking water supply well are tested
Eevery three months. Gasoline-related contaminants have never.been found in samples from the.
private supply well.
In February 2007, a soil vapor extraction and air sparge (SVE/AS) remediation design was approved
by the County and will be implemented at the Site to clean up the soil and groundwater. In
summary, clean air is bubbled into the groundwater to vaporize the gasoline and then gasoline
E R
vapors are sucked out of the ground to either be burned or filtered;removing the contamination
from the air stream before it is released into the atmosphere. The air that is released into the. .
I atmosphere is clean and safe to breath'and is permitted by the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution
Control District.
T&T Trucking, Inc. is planning to begin construction of the remediation system in late summer
2007 and is expected to run continuously for about one year. The system willhave some noise from
the equipment similar to a leaf blower but operations will not impact nearby neighbors.
3' Groundwater testing from the Site monitoring wells will continue every three months during
operation of the treatment system and for one year after it is turned off to monitor the
I
I concentrations of gasoline andMtBE contamination. The Site will continue to be a trucking
company throughout operation of the treatment system and after the cleanup has been finished.
CADoeuments and Settings\minfurna\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\OI.KI\F',Xecuticc Surnmary.doe
