The vacuum pressure in VEW-2,
which will be located approximately 20 ft southeast of VEW-1,will be used to
determine the radius of influence of VEW-1. The vacuum in the well, recorded in
inches of mercury (in Hg),will be recorded throughout the pilot test.
i
An AS pilot test will be conducted on MW-1. A pipe with 2 ft of well screen will
} be placed in the monitoring well approximately 10 ft below the water level. The
pipe will be attached to an air compressor and air will be injected into the water.
During the AS pilot test the pressure in well VEW-1 will be recorded along with
dissolved oxygen.
f
The results of these tests will be used to estimate the effectiveness of these
technologies as well as model a capture zone. The pilot test will consist of
+ operating the SVE system independently for an eight-hour period, operating the
AS system for an eight-hour period, and operating the combined system for
11 10 days followed by shut down of the system to determine rebound effects.
Groundwater samples will be collected prior to starting the test and following
l
shutdown of the system from wells VEW-1 and MW-1.
SCOPE OF WORK
rj The scope of work for this site will be completed in accordance with Industry
accepted standards and protocols and BC Standard Operating Procedures, which
were previously provided in Appendix A (compact disk) of Brown and Caldwell's
July 14, 2005 Workplan.
P:\28000\128253-T&T Trucking SVF.,\Work Plan sve 2.doc
l
