Mr. Ron Rowe <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division <br /> 445 North San Joaquin Street <br /> I` Stockton, California 95201-0388 <br /> WORKPLAN ADDENDUM <br /> 11396 NORTH HIGHWAY 99 <br /> Lodi, California 95240 <br /> WKA No. 3001.01 <br /> Dear Mr. Rowe, <br /> Based on your discussions with Mr. Terry Tarditi with T & T Trucking, we have <br /> prepared this addendum to our April 19, 1995 Excavation, Sampling and <br /> Z <br /> En vironmental"Services Workplan. Our additional investigation will include <br /> excavation of the petroleum contaminated soil detected within a trenched area south <br /> of the existing excavation (Plate 1 and Table 1). <br /> A-backhoe operated by T & T Trucking will be used to excavate the contaminated <br /> soil. The soils will be excavated southerly until visual and olfactory observations <br /> Geotechnical Engineering - -r - <br /> indicate-the contaminated -soi`1"leas-b"een�rerrlo�ed: Up---on"--e' <br /> --- val of the <br /> Engineering Geology contaminated soils, confirmation soil samples will be collected and tested. <br /> Personnel from Wallace-Kuhl & Associates and San Joaquin County will be <br /> Environmental Consulting <br /> notified at least 48 hours in advance of sampling. <br /> Remediation Services <br /> One sample will be collected for every 20 lineal feet of exposed sidewall, and for <br /> Construction Inspection L <br /> every 200 square feet of exposed bottom with a backhoe bucket. The samples will <br /> Materials Testing be obtained-using clean, two-inch diameter, six-inch long brass tubes driven into <br /> 4y the soil using a rubber mallet. The tubes will be sealed with <br /> polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE)-coated sheets and plastic end caps to reduce volatile <br /> hydrocarbon loss, placed in an ice chest containing ice, and submitted under chain- <br /> 3050 lndustfial <br /> hain- <br /> 30501ndustrial Blvd. <br /> of-custody to a California-certified laboratory. The samples will be analyzed for <br /> West Sacramento Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TPH) as gasoline using modified EPA test <br /> ` CA 95691 method 8015, and Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene, and Xylenes (BTEX) using <br /> Fax 916.372.2565 EPA test method 8020. <br /> 916.372.1434 <br /> Recycled paper - <br />
